I found this little gem in a second hand store several years ago. The store has since closed, much to my dismay, as I found many great recordings there. This LP was part of a large box of records that were all still sealed and marked for deletion – probably leftover end-of-the-LP-era stock from an old record store that closed its doors. It was recorded/mixed by Peter Woodford at the “Fingers on Fire” studio on 14/15 February 1984, and released on the ITI (In The Interest) Records label (catalog: JL 022). I can’t tell you much more than that, other than it was never re-issued on LP or CD. If anyone knows anything about the ITI label, please post details in the comments.

Mike Stephans here and HEADS UP was my much loved band and record. The group was in existence for about five years. Our record received lots of airplay and relatively poor distribution. The ITI label all but disappeared fairly quickly; a real shame, considering some of the fine releases they issued.
At present, Peter Woodford and I are trying to re-release the original masters (with one additional track) on CD, but the going has been tough.
