Hey folks! I’m just chiming in to let you know that I am on the road for the next little while. My current job is ending soon due to outsourcing and I have some decisions to make before the fall. My life may be moving in new directions. Several members of my family are also currently in the process of moving, so I am being kept away from my computer and my blogging efforts. Who knows, I may even be moving myself! That possibility motivated me to sort through approximately 1000 loose LP’s that have been occupying the floor of a spare bedroom in my house, and I did see quite a few gems while sorting them. I even got an idea for a salvage project, as I will be parting with many of these LP’s, and so a collection of gem tracks from various “lost” albums may be fourthcoming. In the meantime I will likely be “offline” for several weeks. I hope you are enjoying your summer!

All the best, rugrat! Hope it all turns out for the best. I know what it’s like to lug around hundreds of LPs that only have 1 good track on it, wish I woulda been digitising a couple years ago before I sold huge stacks of them prior to a move :)

One day I will get to posting those nuggets…. sigh…. one day. I have so many projects pending for this blog that I don’t know if half of them will ever see the light of day. I just don’t seem to be able to find the time to put posts together these days. I can see now why so many blogs don’t last more than a couple of years. Unless you are doing this for a living, it is very hard to keep up with posting regular content. Ultimately I would love to put these mixes to use in an actual radio program, but it seems that real radio is nearly dead, and breaking into what remains is a very hard market. In the meantime, the blogosphere awaits….
