Burt Neilson Band – Live at Lee’s Palace

Click here to download the show in VBR mp3 format. Before jambands went mainstream on the festival circuit in the last few years, most outfits were happy to get a few dozen people out to their local music venue for an evening of delightful dancing – the kind that only aging Deadheads and free-spirited types enjoy. Now it seems even mainstream rockers are trying out their own experimental jams and broadening their horizons. Along with Days of You, The Hundred Handed, and Jughead, The Burt Neilson Band were one of the most frequently followed jambands of southern Ontario during the late 1990s. They are still playing, albeit much less frequently these days, and it was great to catch them at Lee’s Palace in Toronto on a very snowy night last December. Details of the show and FLAC downloads are available here. You can download the show in variable-bit mp3 format here.
