		<description>thank you for remembering the great bobby charles. i only just learned of his death when i landed on your post, and was saddened by the news. charles was a wonderful songwriter, penning plaintive, hearfelt tunes that could resignate with most anyone who might hear them. an unusual man as well in his reclusiveness, which i&#039;ve always held as an admirable quality. his personal problems notwithstanding, the fact that he preferred to remain in the stage shadows is refreshing in this day and age, and testament to his earthiness. low-key, self-effacing, and gracious, he nevertheless stood tall as a great man.</description>
