I am the creator and site administrator at The Basement Rug. I have been collecting LP's and CD's for more than 30 years. I

compilations and out-of-print and otherwise hard to find albums.
Hey Rugrat this site has sure come along way ! Awesome indeed !
Thanks Gord – hope all is going well with you. Stay tuned for a special feature on FM. Remember them? First the Black Noise LP with Nash the Slash [1977], and then Ben Mink replaced Nash on Head Room [1978], Surveilance [1979], City of Fear [1980], with Nash returning for Con-Test [1985], and finally Tonight [1987]. Only the first 4 are worthwhile IMHO. There was a Ben Mink solo album called Foreign Exchange [1980] that was recorded with FM as well. Only Black Noise ever made it to CD, and I don’t believe it is available any more. The rest were lost to vinyl and cannot be re-mastered, as the tapes were destroyed in a fire at Passport records vault. Visa/Passport is now long gone. So is GRT, the Canadian distributor. I am putting together an all-instrumental mix that will knock your socks off – stay tuned!
